GOD: We believe there is one God, eternally existent in three Persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
JESUS: We believe in the deity of Jesus Christ; in His virgin birth; in His sinless life; in His miracles; in His vicarious and atoning death through His shed blood; in His bodily resurrection; in His ascension to the right hand of the Father; and in His personal return in power and glory.
SPIRIT: We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit, by whose indwelling the Christian is enabled to live a godly life; we further believe His power and gifts are available to believers today.
SALVATION: We believe that for the salvation of lost and sinful humanity, regeneration by the Holy Spirit is essential, and that repentance from sin and acceptance of Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior is the only way to come into a relationship with God.
SCRIPTURE: We believe the Bible is God’s infallible and authoritative word that was written by human authors under the supernatural guidance and inspiration of the Holy Spirit.
SACRAMENTS: We believe it is important to uphold the scriptural practices of the early church. Therefore, we hold to the practice of water baptism and the regular taking of Communion. We do not believe that either of these practices is essential for salvation, but that they serve as a demonstration of our living faith in Christ.
Randall and Saundra planted Hope Church in 2003. While on staff at a well established church, Randall felt that God was calling him to start a church from scratch. Through investigation and prayer, Randall felt that God was calling his family to High Point, NC. After making a short trip to check out the furniture capital of the world to see what High Point and the Piedmont Triad were like, the family headed back to Raleigh to pray and seek God's will. Later that year, Randall was spending time in the Outer Banks of NC and came across a man as he walked across the beach one night. Randall felt like he should share Christ with him. As he did the man asked questions about the faith and ultimately gave his life to Christ right there on the beach. As the conversation came to a close Randall asked the man, "Where are you from?" To this the man replied, "High Point." It was that moment that Randall knew God had called his family to High Point, NC. Now, after over a decade of working and growing Hope Church, God has expanded Randall's vision beyond High Point to reach the entire Piedmont Triad area.
